Pakistan has proposed two sets of dates - July 17-18 and July 25-26 - for the meeting of Indian and Pakistani foreign ministers in New Delhi, a media report said on Saturday.
"A response from the Indian side accepting the dates or proposing alternatives is awaited," a report in the Urdu daily Jang said, citing informed sources.
As soon as the dates are finalised, Pakistan foreign secretary Salman Bashir will travel to New Delhi to set the agenda for the talks, the sources said.
The foreign office refused to confirm or deny the dates.
The report also said Pakistan minister of state for foreign sffairs Hina Rabbani Khar was expected to take part in the talks as the country's full-fledged foreign minister.
The meeting of the foreign ministers was decided when Bashir and his Indian counterpart Nirupama Rao met in Islambad June 23-24.
The foreign secretaries discussed a range of issues relating to peace and security, Jammu and Kashmir and promotion of friendly exchanges.
Both countries vowed to carry forward the dialogue -- suspended after the November 2008 terrorist attack on Mumbai -- in "a constructive and purposeful manner".
