The Taliban has released a 28-minute video showing a US soldier captured by the hard-line Islamic group in Afghanistan last month, a monitoring group announced in Washington.
The US soldier, whose identity has not been released, went missing from his base in eastern Afghanistan on June 30.

The Alexandria, Virginia-based IntelCenter said the video contains a production group logo that has been associated with Taliban related video in the past.
This logo goes back to at least August 2008.
Pentagon officials were unavailable for comment late on Saturday.
