"My film will be the official remake of Memories. I'll be adapting it in my own style for Tamil audiences without losing the soul of the original," said Arivazhagan.

The film will be produced by Thenandal Films, the production house behind recent Tamil blockbusters such as Kanchana 2 and Baahubali. Arivazhagan said he's in the process of finalising the heroine and the rest of the cast and crew.

Directed by Jeethu Joseph, Memories is the story of a drunkard policeman, played by Prithviraj, who is forced to investigate a series of murders.
