India's sacred epic found its way to French publisher Diane de Selliers a decade back who has now brought out an anthology of Ramayana which promises to be a stunning representation of the Indian masterpiece. It includes 48,000 verses divided over seven books illustrated by 660 Indian miniature paintings. Titled Ramayana by Valmiki, illustrated with Indian Miniatures from the 16th to 19th century, the book has been compiled from major works preserved in over 70 museums in India, Europe, USA, Pakistan, etc including private collections.
