The recently held green festival at Ashkelon in Israel, The Ball is in Our Hands, included activities for the whole family. The event featured workshops and live performances about reducing waste and recycling.

One workshop taught kids how to make comic books and kites out of paper, while another showed how old shirts can be used to make bags. The entry “fee” to the green festival was one plastic bottle or one plastic bag.
