If you get tired of shopping, join the barsati walk on August 4. The barsati, which means a small room on the terrace, derives its name from rain (barsaat). “We will be singing songs and reading passages from the famous barsati stories as we check out the changing face of these rain rooms in Lajpat Nagar, Green Park, Nizamuddin and Greater Kailash,” says Himanshu Verma of Red Earth.

The festival also features a colour walk where participants will visit monuments in blue or green, such as Sunder Nursery, which is dotted with historical monuments, Subz Burj and Nila Gumbad. The group will end the walk at Lodhi Garden with a blue and green coloured snack.
