Diwali is the time to revamp your homes and go shopping for some interesting artifacts. If you are looking for decorative artwork specially created for Diwali, a pottery and painting exhibition by artist Anju Kumar is worth checking out.

Titled Divine Rhapsody, the exhibition showcases an array of Ganesha idols, urlis, vases, sculptures and lamps made of clay. “I like to create poetry in clay to celebrate life,” says Kumar.

The highlight of this collection is innovative vases that can be used as floor lamps, pillar stands with jaali work and floaters which electrify the living space with bright colourful flowers and candles. The lamps range from Rs 5,000 to Rs 50,000 as per their intricacy and height. Her love for Ganesha is visible in the variety of art pieces dedicated to the lord. From 2 inches to 8 feet tall, they come in different sizes, colours and textures for Rs 100 to Rs 80,000. “Ganesha is the God of good luck and I make a lot of them during Diwali. Each piece takes 50-60 days to get completed as it needs to be dried in shade after moulding and then baked and polished.”
