Having successfully organised their intra-college annual festival last year, HR College is expanding it to the inter-collegiate level for the second edition. The two-day fest is titled ‘Blaze’ and will have over 20 colleges from all over the city participating in it.

This year, the students have tried to combine finance related concepts with entertainment. The theme, ‘Investors, Be Aware!’ will focus on corporate social responsibility and investor awareness. The event line-up comprises over 15 events and the organisers say that various activities will test the intellectual as well as the co-curricular talents of the participants.

“Our festival is not restricted to finance students. We have included media events as well. The challenge is to present financial aspects in the most interesting manner,” says Shivang Arora, president, Blaze.

The events will include creative competitions like Bulls Eye, a mock stock exchange, where students will be trading the likes of Salman Khan and Sachin Tendulkar, among other celebrities.

“In one of our dubbing events, Voiceovers, participants will dub scenes from the film Maine Pyar Kiya (1989) in such a way that Salman gives out financial solutions and share prices without romantic overtures,” says Arora.
