Just one stroke of a vibrant colour can make something dull look bright and illuminated. That’s exactly the experience you can be a part of this weekend, at a workshop, where those with special needs will get to collectively paint a wall. However, young individuals can volunteer for the cause.

The workshop will be held by Down Syndrome Support India, an initiative started in 2012, by four siblings who have a sister born with Down Syndrome (a chromosomal disorder). “We’ve been lucky to have great support right from the time our sister was born, thanks to which, she is a very happy person. We want to provide the same love and support for everyone suffering from the condition, and so we began this community,” says co-founder Namrata Agrawal.

As part of the workshop on Sunday, an abandoned wall in Hauz Khas Village area, with outlined images depicting DSSI’s theme, Be Fit, will be the one to be painted. All you’ve got to do is to paint into the outlines with vibrant colours of your choice. Also, there will be interactive dance and exercise sessions.
