Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh on Sunday said alliance between his party and Samajwadi Party for the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh had not broken down.

He, however, admitted that there would be "friendly fight" between the two parties in some constituencies.

"Samwajwadi Party was announcing its candidates for some constituencies and the Congress may also do so," Singh told a press conference in Bhopal.
"Still, the alliance has not broken down and we may see friendly fights in some constituencies," he added.
