The police have said that they have solved the murder case of the manager of a district industry centre (DIC) Raisen district, Ramdayal Bele and said that he was killed by the paramour of a woman and his two friends. Bele too had an illicit relationship with the woman, the police added.
The police on Thursday arrested Pappu Jatav and Kamlesh Mehra, 31, both residents of Raisen district, while another accused -- identified as Waseem -- is on the run.
DIC manager, Bele, was found murdered near a factory in Govindpura Industrial area on the night of August 19. A total of 36 wounds were found on his body and his bag and mobile phone were missing.
Bele, who was married, had allegedly been in an illicit relationship with a woman, a resident of Raisen town, who lived in the same building as Bele's rented flat.
Pappu Jatav, 27, also a paramour of the woman, resented her growing proximity to Bele and Bele's control over the woman's family.
In the course of investigation, police interrogated five women as call records linked to Bele's mobile number showed that he was frequently in touch with those women.
Additional superintendent of police (ASP) Riyaz Iqbal, who is leading the investigation, told HT that the last call had been made to the woman Bele had the relationship with. She told the police that apart from Bele, she also had a relationship with Pappu Jatav -- an auto rickshaw driver in Bhopal -- and that he might be involved in the murder, as he had been increasingly jealous of her closeness with Bele.

{{/usCountry}}Following this, the police detained Jatav, who confessed to having committed the crime. Jatav also said that he had threatened Bele several times over the phone to not continue his relationship with the woman.
Recently, Bele had helped the woman get her younger daughter married in Bhopal and had also provided money for the ceremony.
Angered over this, Jatav with his friends Waseen and Kamlesh murdered Bele and escaped with his bag and mobile phone. Iqbal said that efforts were on to arrest the absconding man.
