Bhopal: Ijtima concludes with prayer for peace

The 67th Alami Tablighi Ijtima, a three-day religious congregation of Muslims from all over the world, concluded on Monday with ‘dua’ for peace and prosperity in the world.

The 67th Alami Tablighi Ijtima, a three-day religious congregation of Muslims from all over the world, concluded on Monday with ‘dua’ for peace and prosperity in the world.

Around 10 lakh people participated in the mass ‘dua’ organised on the concluding day.

The strength just doubled during mass ‘dua’ held on Monday. Usually the number of participants in the programme used to be 4-5 lakhs. The last ‘dua’ of 67th Alami Tablighi Ijtima was followed by the discourse of Maulana Saad. In his, Maulana urged people to apologise for the mistakes committed by them and pray for world peace.

During the three-day meet, various discourses were organised and mass marriages of around 450 couples were conducted. The event witnessed huge crowd on last day of Ijtima compared to other days.

Special arrangements were made for the departure of all the participants of Ijtima by the district administration. School buses were also sought for by the district administration for commuting of participants.

Various parts of the city faced jams for hours as large number of vehicles left Ijtima venue after attending ‘dua’. To manage traffic properly, two-wheelers were allowed to go first, followed by other vehicles.
