The workshops on automobile robotics, Vedic mathematics and android development received huge response in the three-day 'Technosearch' of Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (Manit) that concluded on Sunday. About 1,000 students participated in the Technosearch but as compared to last year, the participation fell by 30-40%.
Manit students organised the workshops for freshers and the students of other colleges to make them aware about the latest technologies in different sections and to provide them practical training.
A group of fourth year mechanical engineering students comprising Vatan Agrawal, Suraj Gupta and Bhavesh Kapoor organised the workshop 'Drift and Run' for making students aware of latest technologies which are being used in manufacturing vehicles.
Agrawal told HT that there are more than 100 engineering colleges in Bhopal. However, only 3-4 colleges from Bhopal participate at national level automotive engineers competition. "By organising this workshop, we are motivating students to participate in the competition and to learn new technologies," he added.
Aero Astro society of Manit organised hovercraft and water rocket competitions. Lavnish Agrawal, a student at Manit, said this was the most interesting event in which students used Newton's law to launch the rocket.
The maximum participation was seen in events like 'mud warrior saga', 'codahon' and 'brezon'. Other events like 'Tech-Asino', 'Techno Guru', 'Alchemy', 'Built Up 3.0' etc. were also organised by the students.
