Scindia, who was in the state capital for some time, told reporters that it was not the Opposition, but the Central government which was not allowing the parliament to function by evading action against external affair minister Sushma Swaraj, Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje for their alleged involvement in the 'Lalitgate' scandal and Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in the Vyapam scam.

The Guna MP also claimed that monsoon session of the state assembly ended in just three days which showed that the House was being run according to the "whims and fancies" of the state government and "not according to democratic norms."

He also criticised a Bill tabled on July 25 in MP legislative assembly to prevent vexatious litigations in court. "This kind of bill was tabled for the first time in India. I find the provisions of the Bill strange and illogical."
