An employee of a non-banking chit-fund company was allegedly kidnapped from Gola Ka Mandir police station area in Gwalior on Monday.

The kidnappers have reportedly demanded ransom of Rs 10 crore from Ravi Narwaria’s wife using anonymous call. Police have lodged FIR and investigating the case including financial angle.

According to information Ravi Narwaria and his uncle Raghvendra, also the director in the company, ran a chit-fund business in Raigarh and Shajapur. The duo reportedly collected people’s money on the pretext of multiplying it through further investment in other businesses.

They allegedly never returned money to people who reportedly lodged police complaint against Ravi Narwaria and his uncle Raghvendra. The duo after packing from Raigarh and Shajapur had returned to Gwalior.

Sources informed that group of persons from Raigarh and Shajapur who had deposited money in the chit fund company got together and traced Ravi and his uncle Raghvendra in Gwalior and caught hold of Ravi and took him with them.

They (group of persons) have asked Ravi’s wife to pay back Rs 10 crore in return for release of her husband who had collected money from them.
