EC reprimands MP Govt for delay in poll duty

The Madhya Pradesh Election Commission has reprimanded the state government for delay in the process of transfers and taking charge by officials entrusted with election duty for the forthcoming assembly polls on November 25.

The Madhya Pradesh Election Commission has reprimanded the state government for delay in the process of transfers and taking charge by officials entrusted with election duty for the forthcoming assembly polls on November 25.

State Chief Election Officer JS Mathur has asked the government to make sure that officials and employees connected with election duty take charge by Monday.

The Commission has sought information about transfers in the Revenue and other departments and said that personnel posted in districts must be informed of their duties for the elections.
