High-handedness of private schools criticised

A signature campaign demanding reformation in the school education system was organised by the Shiksha Sudhar Morcha at New Market on Sunday. About 5000 people signed the petition in two hours.

“The high-handedness of private schools should not be tolerated. They raise fees without notice and hikes are unreasonable,” said Gopal Mukhraiyya, president of the Shiksha Sudhar Morcha.

“No action has been taken against the Campion School, Bhauri that was found guilty of violating the Right to Education Act norms. This also raises a question on the functioning of the school education department in the state capital,” said Nitesh Lal, convener of the morcha. The campaign will continue at Peergate on Monday, said Lal.
