A tiger attacked two forest guards in Magdhi range of Bandhavgarh National Park in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday evening.
The tiger injured the leg of one of the guards, while another guard received injuries when he fell down while attempting to escape from the spot.
The guards had gone there to install tracking cameras to monitor the movement of tigers in the area. According to officials of the national park, the tiger has not been identified yet. The staff is in search of the tiger.
Bandhavgarh National Park deputy director DK Gupta confirmed the attack. "Two forest guards have been injured in the attack. While one of the guards fell on the spot and injured himself, the other guard was attacked by the big cat. He received injuries in his leg. He has been hospitalised and his condition is stable," he said.
