A man and his nephew were caught after the former appeared as a proxy candidate for the latter in a physical test on Friday for recruitment in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), police said on Saturday.
The accused were identified as Raghvendra Raghuvanshi and his nephew Rajkumar Raghuvanshi, residents of Raisen district.
Rajkumar was trying to take a token number from the recruitment authorities after his uncle had completed the physical test when the officials got suspicious and discovered the fraud, the police said.
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Bhopal unit, which is organising physical and written tests for posts of constables (general duty) in CAPF, lodged a written complaint in the matter at Govindpura police station on Friday night and also handed over the duo to police.
Personnel for armed police forces like CISF, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Indo-Tibet Border Police (ITBP) and others are recruited through the CAPF.
City superintendent of police (CSP), Govindpura, Dr Shiv Dayal said that Rajkumar had pasted photograph of his uncle Raghvendra on his application for physical test.
"Raghvendra appeared in physical test and completed race of 5 km and later Rajkumar went to take a token for another test. On getting suspicious, CISF personnel quizzed him and they later caught him and his uncle Raghvendra," said Dayal.

{{/usCountry}}The accused were booked under sections of 420 and 34 of the IPC and sent to jail after being produced in the district court, Bhopal.
CISF deputy commandant (West Zone) Ishtiyaq Alam said that recruitment was being organised from May 25 to July 15. About 36,000 candidates are expected to appear in the recruitment process at Bhopal centre.
