An eatery owner and his minor daughters were injured when a customer poured hot oil on them after being refused eatables on credit at Sihora Khurd near Gairatganj town in Raisen district on Wednesday.
According to the police, the accused Shivraj Gurjar, 25, had gone to the eatery located in front of a temple at Sihora Khud.
He had asked the owner to provide eatables on credit.
As Gurjar hadn't paid his dues in the past, the eatery owner Kundal Lal Prajapati, 40, refused to entertain him.
This angered Gurjar, who had an altercation with Prajapati.
The argument turned nasty and Gurjar lifted a pot in which oil was being heated, and poured it on the eatery owner.
Prajapati and his daughters Rachna (12) and Vishakha (5), who were sitting nearby, also sustained severe burns.
People near the eatery rushed Prajapati and his daughters to the hospital.
Police said they were trying to nab Gurjar, who escaped after the incident.
