The cabinet committee in a meeting on Tuesday approved inclusion of mayors of Bhopal and Indore in executive committee of Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Company.
The cabinet has decided to constitute Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Company for implementation of light metro project in Bhopal and Indore cities. The company, headed by chief minister, would have urban development minister as its vice-chairman. Mayors of Bhopal and Indore and chief secretary would be part of the executive committee, said government spokesperson Narottam Mishra.
In another important decision, the cabinet sanctioned redensification scheme of North and South TT Nagar. There are around 2,767 government quarters here. Under the redensification scheme, private investors would construct 4,284 houses of various categories and hand them over to the state government. Work of urban infrastructure under the scheme, including a 1.53 km long flyover, 0.94 km long grade separator, new building of Kamla Nehru School, construction of new roads and widening of old roads will be undertaken by the Bhopal Development Authority.
A sum of Rs 1,250 crore will be spent on the construction of houses. Estimated cost of the works to be undertaken by the authority is Rs 454 crore. Under the redensification scheme, proposals will be invited from private investors on bid premium basis. Work will be assigned to the investor offering highest amount to the state government. Apart from existing government houses, about 1,500 additional houses will be built.
The cabinet decided to create promotion avenues for assistant veterinary field officers of the animal husbandry department through upgradation of existing posts. Presently, there is no promotion channel for this cadre. They retire from the same post on which they are recruited. The posts created include 1,100 veterinary field officers, 308 senior veterinary field officers and 77 livestock zonal officers.

{{/usCountry}}The cabinet while reconsidering the state government’s decision of October 2009 on allotment of land to Navodaya Vidyalayas and Central Schools decided to amend the policy released in November 2009.
Now, Central Schools will be allotted 4 acre land in Municipal Corporation areas, 8 acre in other urban areas and up to 10 acre in other areas without premium and Re one lease rent.
