MP Congress declares names of nine mayoral candidates

The much-awaited list of Congress candidates for the post of mayors in municipal corporations has been released. The names of mayoral candidates for nine municipal corporations have been announced.

The much-awaited list of Congress candidates for the post of mayors in the municipal corporations was finally released on Tuesday. The names of the mayoral candidates for nine municipal corporations were announced.

The candidates include: Jagdish Yadav (Sagar), Sunil Mishra (Katni), Manoj Rajani (Dewas), Premlata Dave (Ratlam), Ismail Ansari (Burhanpur), Darshan Singh (Gwalior), Ajay Ojha (Khandwa), Urmila Tripathi (Satna) and Sunita Singh (Singrauli).

The civic elections in some major cities including Bhopal, Indore and Jabalpur have been postponed due to the delimitation issue, which was taken to the court.
