Police will soon issue a warrant to arrest Reema Verma in MBBS answer sheet tampering case. Verma is the daughter of Samajwadi Party MLA of Uttar Pradesh Rajeshwari Devi.

Rajeshwari Devi is sitting MLA of Sandi legislative assembly at Hardoi district.

Reena's father was also an MLA and died in 2008. Sources in Indore police said Verma comes from the famous political family of Parmailal, who was close to top leaders of Samajwadi Party.

Police said the two accused of the tampering of MBBS answer sheets — Umesh Mandoli and Nikhil Tiwari — were produced in the court on Thursday. Court sent them on one-day police remand. However, the main accused Reema Verma is still out of police reach.

Student of third year at Index Medical College, Verma was booked by Bhawarkuan police in November under Indian Penal Code sections 419, 420, 467, 468 and 471 for tampering with answer-sheets to increase marks.
