Preliminary police investigations revealed 37-year-old mason Luv Kush drove wife Radha Bai (35) and two daughters Ria (3) and Mahi (1) on a motorcycle to the Piparia-Itarasi railway line, just 1 km from the family’s village of Banskhapa .

After leaving the bike behind, the couple and the daughters could have jumped before the Varanasi-Lokmanya Tilak Terminal (Mumbai Express), the police said.

“We have recovered the motorcycle from near the railway tracks and primary probe establishes that the couple ended life with two daughters by jumping before the train. The matter has been registered under Section 174 of CrPC and investigations are underway,” said Shohagpur police station in-charge Rajendra Barman said.

A police team that went to the couple’s house found they were living with Luv Kush’s parents. “Our team found out that the couple might have had some altercation over family issues, as they left the breakfast incomplete and proceeded to railway tracks,” said Barman.
