MPPEB scam: Special Task Force nabs man from Rajasthan

The Special Task Force investigating the multi-layered MP Professional Examination Board scam arrested a person from Rajasthan in connection with the Madhya Pradesh police constable recruitment-2013 scam.

The Special Task Force (STF) investigating the multi-layered MPPEB scam arrested a person from Rajasthan in connection with the Madhya Pradesh police constable recruitment-2013 scam on Thursday.

The accused, Raghvendra Singh, was produced before the court of chief judicial magistrate Pankaj Singh Maheshwari which remanded him in STF custody till September 8. Raghvendra made another person appear for the recruitment exam in his place for a payment for Rs 3 lakh and finally cleared it, STF sources said.

Meanwhile, former controller of exams of MPPEB Pankaj Trivedi and assistant system analyst Ajay Sen were produced before the CJM court on expiry on their STF custody and sent to jail on judicial remand.

In a related development, the high court has issued notices to state government, home secretary, and STF director during hearing of a bunch of petitions relating to PEB scam.
