Opposition Congress has submitted to the Assembly Secretariat, a notice for a no-confidence motion against Shivraj Singh Chouhan government in Madhya Pradesh.

The notice was given to the State Assembly's Principal Secretary, Raj Kumar Pandey on Friday by Leader of Opposition, Ajay Singh.

The notice was then forwarded to Assembly Speaker Ishwar Das Rohani, Chouhan and legislative affairs minister Narottam Mishra.
This is first time that the Congress has brought in a no-confidence motion against the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh since December 2003.
