Stepping in to resolve differences between the Special Investigation Team (SIT) and Special Task Force (STF) over the arrests of VIPs in connection with the Professional Examination Board (PEB), the MP High Court on Wednesday ruled that the same logic should be applied to identify and arrest accused in all PEB scams as done in the Pre-Medical Test (PMT).

After examining the SIT reports submitted to the court in two separate envelops on Tuesday, the court has asked the SIT and STF to hold a joint meeting before May 14 to resolve the outstanding issues between the two agencies.

The STF has been probing scams under PEB while the SIT was later formed by the high court to monitor the former’s investigation.

Additional advocate general Purushendra Kaurav said the court has also asked the STF chief to keep the SIT abreast of the course of the investigation.

The court noted that 500 more accused are yet to be arrested in connection with various PEB scams and the STF has formed 168 teams to trace them and bring them to book.
