Sehore hospital set up without permission asked to close down

Chief medical and health officer (CMHO) RK Gupta on Saturday issued a notice to City Health Care Hospital management to close it with immediate effect, as the hospital was set up without the permission of chief medical and health officer, municipality and other departments.

Chief medical and health officer (CMHO) RK Gupta on Saturday issued a notice to City Health Care Hospital management to close it with immediate effect, as the hospital was set up without the permission of chief medical and health officer (CMHO), municipality and other departments.

The hospital was inaugurated on January 26 near collector’s bungalow and district judge bungalow without the permission of CMHO, municipality and other departments.

Sources said city Health Care Hospital was inaugurated on January 26 and a free health check-up camp was organised on February 2.

A large number of patients were treated in the camp.

Sources also said several specialist doctors were available at the City Care Hospital and the patients suffering from various diseases are being treated by those doctors.

The CMHO served a notice on the hospital management and said the hospital was being run without permission which is a punishable offence under the Nursing Home Act, 1973.

The hospital management was directed to close the hospital with immediate effect.
