Siblings who attempted suicide in Bhopal die at hospital

The siblings who had attempted suicide at their Bagh Sewania house in Bhopal died during treatment. Ajay, 15, had set himself on fire. Subsequently, his sister, Madhu, 18, hanged herself.

Ajay, 15, had set himself afire. Subsequently, his sister, Madhu, 18, had hanged herself. By the time family members could rush to save them, Ajay had been severely burnt. Madhu was also brought down and taken to hospital.

While Madhu died later in the night, Ajay succumbed to burn injuries in the hospital on Monday. Initial investigations reveal that Madhu had scolded her brother over a petty issue.

This had angered him so much that he set himself ablaze. After the incident, a shell-shocked Madhu hanged herself from the ceiling. The police have started investigation into the case.
