A college student and two of his friends were arrested in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain city for alleged sexual exploitation of a BTech student of a private institute, police said on Thursday.
Police are looking another friend of the accused who also made an explicit MMSes of the girl and threatened to upload it on video-sharing websites.
All four accused – one of them is a friend of the girl -- allegedly exploited her for six months before she gathered courage and narrated the incident to police on Thursday, said Asit Yadav, the additional superintendent of police in Ujjain, around 55 km from Indore.
According to the victim’s statement, she had befriended the main accused Karan at a tuition class.
Her ordeal started in October last year when she accompanied Karan to his residence, offered her a drink laced with intoxicants and later allegedly raped her when she lost consciousness.
His three friends – identified only by their first names Piyush, Chottu and Sonu – recorded the sexual act on their mobile phones.
After the incident, the four continued to exploit her, threatening her that they would upload the video clippings on internet if she narrated the incident to anyone, she said.
