The TTE was reportedly under the influence of liquor.

The vigilance team complained to senior divisional commercial manager (DCM) Bhopal, Brajendra Kumar, and senior officials of WCR about TTE’s conduct.

The team, later, called up Government Railway Police (GRP) Bhopal and Railway Protection Force (RPF) and caught the TTE who was later released.

According to sources, the WCR vigilance team, led by vigilance inspector SK Tiwari, reached Bhopal railway station on Wednesday afternoon.

The team questioned TTE Pradeep R Atulkar, deployed at platform number-1.

But, Atulkar refused to talk with the vigilance team and started misbehaving with them, sources said. The TTE, who was said to be under the influence of liquor, reportedly abused and pushed away some members of the vigilance team.

He was later sent to Hamidia Hospital for medical checkup to ascertain whether he was drunk or not, the sources said.

The TTE could be suspended if found guilty, an official said on the condition of anonymity.
