Singh, who belonged to the 13th battalion of the Rajputana Rifles, was killed in a Pakistani army ambush across the LoC near the Mendhar sector of Jammu on Tuesday. “In our wildest dreams we had not thought that Sudhakar — who was to visit home next month — would be brought here in a casket,” Singh’s elder brother Satyendra said.
