Apart from being re-released in 3D format, the film will have a sequel too. To be produced by Boney Kapoor, the sequel to Mr India will also be shot in 3D. Actors Anil Kapoor and Sridevi will reprise their roles as Arun Verma and Seema Sohni respectively, and Salman Khan will reportedly play a negative role in the film.

Late actor Amrish Puri played the iconic villain Mogambo in the original. Recently, when she was asked about the sequel, Sridevi said, “My husband and producer of the film (Boney Kapoor) will be able to answer that.”
