Once bitten, twice shy. Who knows it better than veteran actor Anupam Kher, who is bucking up to call the shots again, after the box office failure of his maiden directorial venture, Om Jai Jagadish in 2002.

Once bitten, twice shy. Who knows it better than veteran actor Anupam Kher, who is bucking up to call the shots again, after the box office failure of his maiden directorial venture, Om Jai Jagadish in 2002.

“There are one or two projects that are in the pipeline. Some of them are written by me and some with the help of a writer. So, may be next year, I may think about directing,” says the 56-year-old, who has to his credit over 400 films and 100 plays, as an actor. Kher is currently winding up all commitments before wielding the megaphone.

“It takes about one year if you direct a film. Right now I have some important projects going on as an actor and I also have to juggle my time between my acting schools. So, I’ll finish these first,” says the actor, who will be seen in a double role in superhero outing Zokkomon, releasing today.
