Aamir Khan is famous for his out-of-the-box film promotion ideas. And now, he has planned something out of the ordinary for his upcoming release, Talaash, as well.

The marketing team for the film is in talks with search-engine giant, Google. If all goes well, on its India homepage (www.google.co.in), the word Talaash (which means search) will replace the Google Search button for a short period of time leading up to the release.

The deal is likely to be signed in the coming week. “What could be better than using the world’s biggest search engine? If it works out, it will start after Diwali, and continue till November 30,” says an insider.

Aamir is known to be very canny about marketing tactics. It was he who decided to roll out Talaash promotions post Diwali, after the two big releases — Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son Of Sardaar — have fought it out.
