Aamir’s blast for the past

It’s exactly 25 years since Aamir Khan’s first big-league film, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (QSQT), released. And, he is celebrating it big. The 48-year-old actor will party with the film’s team today, on the 25th anniversary of the 1988 superhit that also featured Juhi Chawla.

It’s exactly 25 years since Aamir Khan’s first big-league film, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (QSQT), released. And, he is celebrating it big. The 48-year-old actor will party with the film’s team today, on the 25th anniversary of the 1988 superhit that also featured Juhi Chawla.

Both Aamir and Juhi were instantly catapulted to the A-list of the industry and became household names almost overnight after the film’s release.

A source close to Aamir says, “Today, the entire cast and crew of QSQT will head to Lightbox (producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s preview theatre) to watch the movie. The entire team, right from all the actors to the assistant directors — who Mansoor (Khan, director) had to personally find and get in touch with, to invite them to the party — will be present there.” An official spokesperson from the QSQT team confirms the development.

The evening promises to be special as the whole team will be come together for the screening after over two decades.
