Abhishek Bachchan may have skipped the gala that was recently held in the city in honour of Prince William and Kate Middleton, as he suffered from a slipped disc. But that doesn’t mean he is shying away from fulfilling his work commitments. We’ve been informed that the actor, despite experiencing extreme back pain, will attend the trailer launch of his next film, Housefull 3, today (April 24).

An insider reveals, “He was diagnosed with a slipped disc about three weeks ago. Ever since, he has been in immense pain and has been advised bed rest. That was the reason why he didn’t accompany Aishwarya (Rai Bachchan) for the royal dinner.”

The insider adds, “He didn’t want to back out because he had given a commitment to attend the launch with the rest of the cast. He will be present at the event, though for a short while.”
