Go Goa Gone actor Anand Tiwari reveals that he never had to ask for work

Actor Anand Tiwari, best known for featuring in several television commercials, says one needs to keep in mind the nitty-gritty of the medium they are acting for.

Actor Anand Tiwari, who has been a part of films such as Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! (2015), Go Goa Gone (2012), and Finding Fanny (2014), doesn’t believe in giving any medium more importance than the others. Films, television, web series — all are equally attractive to him.

“All mediums excite me. Doing advertisements makes me the happiest, since you get so much money for such less work!” he laughs, adding, “But you have to suddenly compress your acting into 30 seconds. When you are doing a film, you have to expand it to two hours. When you are doing a series, you have to keep in mind what all you are doing in one show, and how it translates into the next.”

Anand feels he’s been lucky as an actor. “I have always gotten work without having to ask for it. I think the best way to describe an actor is in Sanskrit. If you follow the Natyashastra, you are a ‘patra’- a part. Every actor needs to understand that you are, at the end of the day, just a part of the story. You just have to play your part right,” says the actor, who continues to pursue theatre with much enthusiasm, despite the many film commitments he has.
