After Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha appreciates Deepika Padukone’s Padmaavat act with a note, saree

Deepika Padukone earlier received notes of appreciation from Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi and Neetu Kapoor.

The accolades won’t just stop coming! We are talking about Deepika Padukone and her traffic-stopping performance as Rani Padmavati in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat. While the film continues to do blockbuster business at the box office, the actor is being appreciated by her fans and colleagues alike.

Deepika Padukone received a handwritten note and a saree from Rekha after the veteran actor watched Padmaavat.

Among the first to send her flowers and a note of appreciation after watching the film were Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, her Piku co-star Amitabh Bachchan and now Rekha has also joined the bandwagon. According to Indian Express, the diva sent Deepika a personal note and a gorgeous saree as a token of appreciation.

Deepika had earlier also received a gorgeous silk saree from Rekha after Bajirao Mastani, which she wore to the wedding of a childhood friend. She had also shared images on social media.

Another accolade that moved Deepika came from her ‘baba’ Amitabh Bachchan. The Shahenshah of Bollywood wrote a handwritten letter to Deepika expressing how much he loved her performance in Padmaavat.

Sharing the note on social media, she wrote, “there are awards...there are rewards...& then there is THIS! Thank You Baba... @amitabhbachchan.”
