Come October 25 and Akshay Kumar will take Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for a drive in a vintage car. And that’s not all. He will also be teaching young fans the fine art of wooing their lover.
Twinkle Khanna and Abhishek Bachchan can rest assured that their respective spouses are only extending their reel roles to promote their forthcoming film, Action Replayy.
Producer-director Vipul Shah says that the idea came up while discussing strategies with his lead actors and the marketing team. "We felt that the charm of retro can’t be conveyed convincingly in mere words or visuals. It would make a bigger impact if we show it to the people," he enthuses, adding that Akshay and Aishwarya too were of the opinion that creating an experience would be better than just talking about it.
The actors have coordinated October 25 as their vintage drive date, but Shah is still undecided on which vintage car he will use for the purpose. “Since I’ve gifted the Beetle to Aarav, I can’t use that. In our film, I also used an open convertible Dodge Impala in bright red. So we just might bring it back as its colour will add significantly to the overall impact of Akshay and Aishwarya’s drive.”
Shah reveals that they’re also working out the logistics of a similar drive in Delhi too.
