Akshay Kumar seems to be warming up for a series of action films lined up next year. Recently, on the sets of Shirish Kunder’s Joker, Akshay tried out some daring stunts all by himself. Known for giving his best to action sequences, the actor performed some dangerous fire-stunts unassisted and without any safety precautions in place.

“Akshay said he loves doing brave stunts and it was quite up his alley as he had tried his hands at those things before,” reveals a source from the sets of the film. Apparently, Akshay was repeatedly warned against playing with fire, as there were professional stuntmen on the sets to do the job. The source reveals that the actor even ignored co-actor Sonakshi’s pleas not to take any unnneccesary risks. “Akshay ignored her advices. Everyone on the set was holding their breath when he stepped in to perform the stunts. But he finished the shot in one take.”

Ask Shirish about the incident and how he allowed Akshay to go ahead with the acts and he says, “Akshay likes doing all macho stunts. When we started the shoot, everyone was surprised that he did all those stunts by himself.”
