On Monday (June 30), Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt’s car met with an accident in Ahmedabad during their multi-city tour to promote their next film
. The duo had another minor accident — this time in Kolkata. The actors had flown there from Ahmedabad as part of the same tour. "It’s a strange coincidence, but when Varun and were about to enter their hotel — after having travelled from Kolkata airport — a speeding car hit their vehicle. Though this accident wasn’t as bad as the Ahmedabad one, it left both of them worried since it took place so soon after their earlier one," says an insider who is travelling with them.
What’s interesting is that, while in Kolkata, Varun and Alia decided to seek divine intervention since "too many accidents" were taking place around them. "First, Alia tore her calf muscle and was seen using crutches. Then, Varun went on a reality show and hurt his back. Later, Alia’s manager fell and hurt herself. And then, the two back-to-back accidents happened," adds the insider.
So, while Varun and Alia were in Kolkata, they visited the famous Kalighat Kali Temple to seek blessings. "They were told by those around them that ‘nazar lag gayi hai’. So they went for the darshan, after wrapping up their film’s promotional work," adds the insider.
Despite repeated attempts, both Varun and Alia couldn’t be reached for comment.
Hrithik Roshan hits Katrina Kaif, accidentally

Meanwhile, Katrina Kaif gets accidently hit in the face by Hrithik Roshan. The accident occurred on Tuesday (July 1) on the sets of her upcoming film, , in which she stars opposite Hrithik Roshan.

Meanwhile, Katrina Kaif gets accidently hit in the face by Hrithik Roshan. The accident occurred on Tuesday (July 1) on the sets of her upcoming film, , in which she stars opposite Hrithik Roshan.
The duo was shooting an action sequence at a studio in Goregaon when Hrithik accidently hit Katrina in the face. "In the scene, Hrithik had to rescue Katrina and, in the process, his elbow hit her left cheek. The shoot was halted immediately," says an eyewitness.
The actor was hurt pretty badly. "Her cheek was swollen and the bruise turned black and blue," adds the source.
Seeing this, the makers packed the shoot up for the day.
The team was shooting at Swati Studio in Goregaon (E), trying to finish up the local portions before setting off for Prague, Czech Republic for their last schedule. A source close to production says, "there was small accident. Nothing serious, Everything is on schedule."
This isn’t the first time Katrina has injured herself on a film set. She’d earlier pulled a muscle while rehearsing for a song from the same film, and even suffered an injury on the sets of Dhoom:3 (2013).
