Anil Kapoor’s déjà vu moment

At a recent event, Anil Kapoor felt that he was meeting Prince William for the first time, but the latter reminded him of their brief encounter from a few years ago.

On April 10, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, attended a charity gala in the city, along with several Bollywood celebrities. Anil Kapoor, his daughter, Sonam Kapoor, and nephew, Arjun Kapoor, also attended the event, where he had an interesting conversation with the royal couple.

Anil Kapoor and Prince William had first met at BAFTA a few years back but Kapoor didn’t remember. Finally, Prince William recalled their first meeting.

An insider says, “At the gala, Prince William and Kate Middleton went around meeting the celebrities one by one. When they were introduced to Anil, Prince William said that he had a feeling that he had met Anil before, but he couldn’t recall where their last meeting had taken place.”

Apparently, even Anil couldn’t remember meeting him in the past.“The actor joked with him that he must have seen him in one of his films. It was only a little later that Prince William remembered and reminded Anil that they had met at the BAFTA awards a few years back. They had both presented awards at the event that year,” adds the insider.

Anil was impressed with Prince William’s memory, and even complimented him for the same. “The two chatted for a while after that,” adds the insider. When contacted, Anil confirmed the news, and said, “It was great meeting and interacting with Prince William and Kate Middleton. They are absolutely lovely and very dignified people.”
