Apoorva Lakhia prepped me for two year: Shraddha Kapoor on Haseena Parkar

Shraddha Kapoor shares her experience of essaying the role of Dawood’s sister.

Bollywood actor Shraddha Kapoor, who began her Bollywood journey with Teen Patti and Luv Ka The End and later worked in movies Aashiqui 2, followed by super hits like Ek Villain, Anybody Can Dance 2 and Baaghi is all set to woo her fans with Haseena Parkar, the film in which Shraddha will be seen in a grey character for the first time.

“Primarily it was the story which convinced me to do this film as it was very emotional. Being the sister of the most wanted person, Haseena has gone through a lot and so it became very challenging for me as an actor to portray her character onscreen,” she said.

Lauding her director Apoorva Lakhia, Shraddha further said, “He prepped for the film for about 2 years and also spent time with Haseena Parkar and that in itself was helpful for all of us because he was too close to film and her story.”

Siddhanth Kapoor, son of actor Shakti Kapoor, will be seen portraying Dawood Ibrahim alongside his sister Shraddha in the film and it’s for the first time that we will see Shraddha playing a grey character on screen.

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film also features Ankur Bhatia, who will essay Haseena’s husband Ibrahim Parkar in the film.

Haseena Parkar is all set to hit the theatres on September 22.
