Arshad Warsi is quite optimistic about the biopic on his Munna Bhai co-star Sanjay Dutt, which will be directed by Rajkumar Hirani. Having worked closely with both Dutt and Hirani, twice, in the Munna Bhai film franchise, Warsi says he ‘can’t wait’ for the biopic to hit the theatres.
“I know the script, and I know how Raju is going to do justice to it. It is going to be a fantastic film, and I can’t wait for people to see it,” says Warsi, adding that he believes Ranbir Kapoor, who is essaying the role of Sanjay Dutt in the biopic, will do justice to his part.
“I know Ranbir personally and more than that, I know he is a fantastic actor. I am a big fan of his work and the kind of films he does. I think he is the best choice to play Sanju on-screen, and I have seen a few photos of him preparing for the role. I am really excited about that film,” he adds. Warsi also says that he will team up with both Dutt and Hirani for the third installment of the Munna Bhai film franchise after the shoot for Dutt’s biopic is over.
“We will start shooting for it after the biopic is done. Raju has made a wonderful script, and it will be a fantastic film. The thing with Raju is that he won’t make a sequel or any other film, just for the heck of it. He will only make a film because he feels that there’s a story behind it,” concludes Warsi.
