Saif returns Rs 11cr
In an unprecedented move that stunned the film industry, actor Saif Ali Khan returned Rs 11 crore to Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision production house for a film that never took off. An official from the production house confirms: “It was an unprecedented move on Saif’s part to return the signing amount for a three-film deal.” A spokesperson from Illuminati films says, “Saif would still love to work with the production house, but he doesn’t believe in keeping the money till the project starts.”

Sona returns Race 2 fee
Sonakshi Sinha felt miserable leaving Race 2. She left the movie since its shooting dates clashed with those of Dabangg 2. Dabangg sequel’s shoot is expected to kick off in March this year and Race 2 got delayed, putting Sonakshi in a tight spot. “I feel bad. I agreed to do the film, but it got delayed so I moved out,” says Sona. A source close to the actor confirms that the actor returned the signing amount and parted with the filmmakers gracefully.

Vidya returns Ghayal 2 fee
Vidya Balan, who had reportedly committed to play the female lead in Sunny Deol-starrer Ghayal’s sequel, apparently went back on her words and left the project. She, however, didn’t forget to return the fee. “Vidya wanted to gauge the success of his last release, The Dirty Picture, and wanted to revise her film fee accordingly. So, she returned the signing amount,” says a source from the film’s unit on condition of anonymity. Now, the fimmakers have approached Bipasha to play the role.
