Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted on Sunday: “’#BadrinathKiDulhania shows growth on Sat... Eyes Rs 43 cr [+/-] weekend... Fri 12.25 cr, Sat 14.75 cr. Total: Rs 27 cr. India biz.

Alia and Varun star in this sequel to Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.

Komal Nahta speculated that the film might collect close to Rs 50 crore in its opening weekend.

The film has done fairly well over the course of two days.

The film has a good pull not just because of Varun and Alia’s chemistry -- which has earlier been seen in Student of The Year and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, but also because of its hit soundtrack. A fresh take on the popular song “Tamma Tamma” has also been included in the album.
