Bipasha dropped from her next film

Bipasha Basu’s last release, Aatma, bombed at the box office. The bad run seems to be continuing for the actor as she has been dropped from Vivek Agnihotri’s upcoming film, Freedom. The director now wants a fresh face in place of Basu.

“I was in talks with Bipasha for the film. But later, I realised that for a film based on the country’s current social and political situation, I should cast actors that represent the youth instead of a star. Young and fresh faces will be able to do justice to the characters,” explains Vivek.

The director further justifies his decision saying that he is promoting upcoming talent by giving freshers a chance. “I am nurturing innovation by giving opportunities to new talent,” says Vivek.
