Filmmaker Onir’s upcoming film Shab is in trouble. A member from the director’s team was travelling through Brussels with the film’s stock, when the recent attack happened. Later, during the evacuation of the airport, the authorities confiscated the stock, leading to unforeseen delay.

“My editor was in Brussels along with the entire footage of the film. He was in the Jet Airways flight in transit when they were evacuated and the footage was taken away from him. Now, my entire film is on hold as the authorities are taking some time to release the footage,” says Onir, adding that the tragedy was unfortunate and has moved him deeply.

“I know this is a very small issue in the larger picture of the tragedy, but we have been directly affected by the attack as the film has got stuck,” says Onir, adding, “We have been communicating with them regularly. But it will take some time. I am hoping to get it back by next week.”
