Puja Jatindar Bedi, whose film Ghost will see Shiney Ahuja returning to the big screen after two years, would probably have expected the actor to be gracious on the sets, considering she gave him a comeback film. Instead, the filmmaker claims she was in for a rude shock. Complaining about his constant tantrums, Puja says, “It always takes time to get along, but we had professional differences all through. I think it had more to do with the fact that I had limited resources. I couldn’t afford his tantrums. It caused a huge problem during the shooting of the film as well.”

The director adds, "He had so many airs, which were unbearable sometimes. I couldn’t keep asking the financer for money for my actor’s personal comfort. If you are getting a chance to come back, you are expected to be a bit co-operative." Puja signed Shiney because she wanted to stand by the rape-accused actor, who was out on bail and doing nothing at that point of time. "I knew Shiney through my cousin because they used to be good friends. I learnt he was sitting at home and thought of giving him a chance," she says.
